These Aged Brass Period Oval Escutcheons will add an elegant finishing touch to your doors and help to prevent scratches to the woodwork.
There is an Open Escutcheon for standard mortice locks, a Euro Escutcheon for use with Euro Cylinders and a Covered Escutcheon to help keep debris and draughts out.
Aged Brass - the finish is achieved by accelerating the ageing process of the unlacquered brass then it is re-polished. The result is a beautiful finish where darker detailing accentuates the pattern of the piece. The brass will continue to age with time and develop a deeper, darker patina. If you wish to retain the original finish, regular polishing with a good quality metal polish is essential.
Sold individually, and supplied with matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
The simple design will complement many different styles of door knob.
