Our aim is to please and we hope you enjoy the goods you purchase from us. If you have any queries, questions or concerns please contact us by phone or email and we will do our best to help you.
Your contract with us
When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an email to confirm that we have received your order.
Once your order has been processed we will email you again to confirm the details of the order and the dispatch date, this confirms your contract with us.
If, due to stock availability, we are unable to process the order within our expected timescales we will contact you to advise on an expected dispatch date. In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available we will contact you to offer a suitable alternative. At this point if you wish to cancel your order, you may do so and all monies paid will be refunded.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and finish of the products that appear on this website. However, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour or finish will accurately reflect the colour and finish of the actual goods. This is not considered faulty or miss-described.
By placing an order with us, you agree to and accept these terms, as well as our privacy policy and terms of website use.
How to place an order
You can use our website to place an order by adding the products you wish to buy to your basket. Items you do not require can be removed from your basket at any time. If you prefer to you can place your order by telephone by calling 01630 647748.
Delivery charges will be shown prior to you placing your order, except for International Deliveries, we will contact you with a shipping cost when we process your order.
You will be required to pay for your goods in full at the time of ordering.
We use secure payment facilities, via Braintree or PayPal, for online purchases. You can pay for your order using Visa, MasterCard, or American Express debit and credit cards, or your PayPal account. We can also take debit and credit card payments over the telephone if you prefer.
All prices quoted on our website are in UK pounds and include Value Added Tax at the current rate.
Once your order has been confirmed, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges or delays.
Once your order is complete we will notify you of the expected dispatch date.

Liability
The products sold in this website have been designed to comply with relevant UK legislation. We cannot warrant or represent that they comply with any legal requirement outside of the UK.
The liability of The Period Ironmonger Limited shall not exceed the invoice price of the goods concerned. We do not accept liability for any consequential loss of profit or indirect losses. You should therefore, not book installation of the goods until you have received and inspected them.
In the event of any goods proving defective (manufacturers defects only) and need replacement, our liability shall in no circumstances exceed the Invoice price of the goods concerned.
The Period Ironmonger Limited or its employees shall not be liable for any advice or recommendation, either verbal or written, given to the Buyer, who acts or follows this entirely at their own risk.
Trade or business customers
The following conditions apply to orders placed by trade or business customers:-
- Orders may not be cancelled without the agreement of the directors of our company and this having been confirmed in writing. We reserve the right to make cancellation and/or re-stocking charges in these instances. Our cancellation and returns policy does not apply to these orders.
- Claims for missing or damaged items must be made within 3 working days of delivery.
- Faulty goods will be dealt with in accordance with the faulty goods section of the cancellation and returns policy.
