This Aged Bronze Bathroom Thumbturn is a simple and classic design so will suit many types of properties, period styles and contemporary homes alike. The thumbturn is designed to be used with either a Tubular Deadbolt or a Bathroom Sashlock.
The turn part locates inside the bathroom or WC and the emergency release is situated on the outside of the door, this provides a safety mechanism in case a person gets stuck or falls unwell and is unable to get out by themselves. This is particularly useful in homes with young children.
Aged Bronze - this finish is manufactured from solid bronze containing a very high percentage of copper. Aged with a matt oil rubbed finish, it will initially look very dark. Left unlacquered the bronze will slowly lighten in colour which results in a beautiful, subtle patina.
TheThumbturn is supplied with a 5mm spindle and matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.

Atmospheric Conditions and Coastal Areas
Harsh environmental conditions and the salt in sea air will cause finishes to deteriorate prematurely. Read our Care Instructions on how to look after your purchase, and for our guide to which finishes are more suited to these conditions.
As with atmospheric conditions, high use, commercial environments will also cause finishes to deteriorate prematurely. Read our Care Instructions for details on how to look after your products in these environments.
