These Aged Bronze Mushroom Door Knobs are a beautiful example of a very simple and traditional design. Suitable for both mortice or rim locks and latches. The simplicity of the design and the lovely proportions make them suitable for all types of home. Available in 2 sizes making them perfect for all sizes of door.

Aged Bronze - this finish is manufactured from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. The process used to age the metal results in a very dark, rich, matt appearance. During the final stages of manufacture a durable, matt lacquer is applied to help preserve the distinctive tones

Note - Do not use metal polish or other chemical cleaners as this will result in finish breaking down prematurely. Oiling moving parts during installation and periodically afterwards will help to aid protection against exterior and environmental elements.

Due to the matt lacquer coating this finish isn’t suitable for high traffic areas or coastal locations.

They have an 8mm threaded spindle to enable fine adjustment for various door thicknesses and lock firmly with a Grub Screw, which must locate on the V in the shaft and not on the threaded part of the spindle.

They are supplied with 2 spindle lengths 120mm for use with rim locks and 100mm for use with mortice locks and latches. For best results we recommend using a Heavy Duty / Heavy Sprung lock or latch, with at least a 100mm lock case to provide a minimum backset of 75mm. This is to make sure that the door knobs turn properly and return back to their start position. It also helps to make sure that you do not catch you hand on the door frame.

Sold as a pair and supplied with matching fixings and a threaded spindle. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
