A lovely, elegant design, this Black Iron Oval Knob Set will look just right in any Country House or Cottage style property. It has a nice weight and feel to it and is suitable for both internal and external use.
Made from iron and then sheradized, primed and painted with a flat black paint to create a durable barrier, which protects the iron to prolong the life of the item.
Normal use of these products will eventually remove the paint, but protection is still provided by the sheradizing, which will restrict the onset of rust.
We recommend the product is wiped periodically with a lightly oiled cloth. Oils such as 3 in1 or WD40 are suited for this purpose. Chipped paint we would suggest the product is touched up using Hammerite or similar black paint.
This Black Iron Oval Knob Set is available to suit either 'Mortice' or 'Rim' locks or latches - the Rim Knobs have loose roses whereas the Mortice Knobs do not, so please choose which you need when ordering.
The door knobs are 'Unsprung', so we recommend that you use Heavy Duty / Heavy Sprung lock or latch. So that you don't catch you hand on the doorframe we also recommend that you use a lock or latch which is at least 100mm, to give you a backset of 75mm or more.
There is a range of matching door, window and cabinet furniture available in this finish so that you can create a co-ordinated look around your home.
Supplied with matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
