This Brass Doctors Door Knocker is based on a very traditional period design. It is cast from high quality brass and would provide a lovely feature to many front doors and entrances. It is said that this type of door knocker was so named as it used to be used to identify a doctor's house in times gone by!
Polished Brass - the finish is left Unlacquered so that over time it develops a rich, natural patina. The brass can be brightened by using Brasso (or a similar product), if required.
The Brass Doctors Door Knocker is attached to a small fixing plate which makes this ideal for doors that have a narrow centre stile.
Supplied with matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
Overall Length - 196mm
Fixing Plate Diameter - 57mm

Due to the hand crafted nature of the products all measurements are approximate. These should be used as a guide only.

Atmospheric Conditions and Coastal Areas
Harsh environmental conditions and the salt in sea air will cause finishes to deteriorate prematurely. Read our Care Instructions on how to look after your purchase, and for our guide to which finishes are more suited to these conditions.
As with atmospheric conditions, high use, commercial environments will also cause finishes to deteriorate prematurely. Read our Care Instructions for details on how to look after your products in these environments.
