This Brass Peardrop Window Fastener is a very simple traditional design. The fastener is reversible - not handed - so can be fitted to either the left or right hand side of the window. It is also suitable for use on windows with a draught seal. Designed to be fitted to windows with a central mullion. If you have flush fitting windows you will need to order a Hook Plate, these are available separately.
Polished Brass - made from solid, unlacquered brass and have soft, golden hues which offer a depth of reflection. This works wonderfully in period dwellings but can also be used to bring a classic twist to contemporary properties. If left untouched, this finish will oxidise over time and naturally age to create a historically beautiful look. To restore these products to their former glory, simply polish using a dry cloth and some Brasso.
Note - An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the product from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements. For persistent marks the use of a good quality metal polish can be used. Oiling moving parts during installation and periodically afterwards will help to aid protection against exterior and environmental elements.
Matching Casement Stays are also available.
Supplied with matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
