This Constable Large Round Door Knob is a beautiful example of a simple Victorian style and is particularly suited to oversized interior doors or entrance doors. Although more traditionally found in Victorian period properties, the elegant design will suit many home styles, including more contemporary properties. Choose from a covered rose for a lovely neat finish or face fix for a more traditional look.

Made by the boutique British manufacturer, BrassArt, who has been making fine handcrafted brass furnishings since 1935. They use long established hand crafting techniques so that each of their pieces is truly stunning and of the highest quality. Each piece is cast, forged or machined from solid brass before being hand finished or electroplated.
We are pleased to offer the most popular finishes to order through our website, the full range of finishes can be seen below and if you would like to get pricing or order one of the other finishes available, please contact us.
For use with Mortice locks and latches and come Unsprung as standard.
So, we recommend using a Heavy Duty or Heavy Sprung lock or latch which is at least 100mm to give a backset of 75mm or more. This is to ensure that the door knob turns properly and returns to the closed position, and that you do not catch your knuckles on the door frame or striker plate.
Sold as a Pair and supplied with matching fixings. Always make a small pilot drill hole and use a manual screw driver to avoid damaging screws and finish.

Information on Finishes
Living Finishes - receive a protective wax coating prior to dispatch. Colour and texture variation is inherent in the creation of these hand finished patinas. Once installed the touch, time and environment will lead to gradual wear and oxidisation, thus imparting charm and elegance. Products finished with living finishes, by their very nature, may vary if ordered on separate occasions. High usage locations will speed up the ageing process. An occasional application of good quality beeswax can be applied if required.
Plated Finishes - these ‘electroplated’ finishes are used for both decorative and practical purposes. We apply a thin layer of metal to the substrate, in our case brass which ensures protection of the base metal and excellent resistance to corrosion and the elements.
All measurements are approximate and should be used as a guide only, this is due to the handcrafted nature of the products.
