This Ebonised Wheatsheaf Escutcheon has been beautifully crafted and faithfully reproduced so that it will suit a range of period properties and restoration projects.
The escutcheon is used to decoratively cover the keyhole and help to keep out draughts and debris.
The escutcheon is made from an African Teak, which is stained and ebonished to give a rich, black finish. The backplate is unlacquered brass, so will continue to age and develop a rich patina with time. The escutcheon has been distressed slightly to give a real aged feel, adding to its authenticity. Please note surface markings should be expected.
Sold Individually.
Supplied with matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
