This Hand Forged Pewter Locking Shepherds Crook Fastener is forged from steel. The skilled craftsmen are able to draw the steel to give it a beautiful sweeping tail detail than is not found on cast fasteners.
These fasteners provide added security as they can be locked in to place by means of a small grub screw set in to the handle. This means that these fasteners are 'handed' - you need to choose between LEFT and RIGHT handed fasteners dependent upon which side of your window they need to be fixed. The photographs are taken showing the which direction the fasteners points - please look at these carefully before ordering.
Pewter - forged from a durable base of steel and boast a rich, luxurious appearance. Manufacturing techniques create contrasting textures on the surface of the metal to create a rich appearance with an abundance of charm. This finish sits well in characterful, rustic homes, but also works as a contemporary alternative in more modern settings.
Note - Do not use chemicals or cleaning products as this may affect the finish. Regular oiling of all moving parts using is beneficial to the longevity of your products. This process is also highly recommended during initial installation. An oily cloth can also be used to wipe over the product from time to time to aid protection against exterior or environmental elements.
Supplied with matching fixings and a key. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
