Our Large Beehive Door Knobs are a larger version of our standard beehive door knob, although they have more of a rounded shape to them. Their larger size makes them perfect for oversized period doors and Entrance Doors. These Large Beehive Door Knobs are made from solid brass which has then nickel plated to give a highly polished finish. The light reflects of the polished nickel to highlight the ridges in the beehive design.
These door knobs more commonly found in Victorian/Edwardian period properties. They have been made to suit both mortice or rim locks and latches, the roses are loose allowing for one to be removed and the knobs are then secured onto the threaded spindle using a Grub Screw.
The door knobs are Unsprung, so we recommend that you use Heavy Sprung lock or latch. So that you don't catch you hand on the door frame we also recommend that you use a lock or latch which is at least 100mm, to give you a backset of 75mm or more.
We also sell a range of Escutcheons which complement these door knobs.
Sold as a Pair and supplied with matching fixings. Always make a small pilot drill hole and use a manual screw driver to avoid damaging screws and finish.
