A simple pair of Polished Nickel Cottage Door Knobs that have been authentically reproduced from a classic period 'bun' design. Available in 2 sizes - the small cottage knobs are perfect for using with our range of rim latches.
Although more commonly found in Victorian/Edwardian period properties, because of their neat shape and size they sit very nicely in many country house and cottage style properties too.
These door knobs are made from brass and then nickel plated to give highly polished finish. They have been made to suit both mortice or rim locks and latches, the roses are loose allowing for one to be removed and the knobs are then secured onto the threaded spindle using a Grub Screw.
The door knobs are Unsprung, so we recommend that you use Heavy Sprung lock or latch. So that you don't catch you hand on the door frame we also recommend that you use a lock or latch which is at least 100mm, to give you a backset of 75mm or more.
By removing the spindle sleeve, these door knobs are also suitable for a 7.5mm lock of latch.
Sold as a Pair and supplied with matching fixings. Always make a small pilot drill hole and use a manual screw driver to avoid damaging screws and finish.
