This elegant Pear Shaped Door Knocker shows a true masterpiece of forging and has been drawn from one piece of mild steel bar, bent to form a twisted pear shape. This design shows every hammer blow by the highly skilled blacksmiths and has an interesting twist detail at the bottom. It is available in Black or Pewter finishes.
Black - Its subtle sheen offers a bold contrast on stained and painted timber alike, and this finish is a popular choice in traditional settings. During the manufacturing process, our Black products are baked in a high-temperature oven, giving them durable, corrosion-resistant qualities. It is extremely low maintenance and perfect for use in bathrooms, kitchens or externally where damper environmental conditions are expected.
Pewter - forged from a durable base of steel and boast a rich, luxurious appearance. Manufacturing techniques create contrasting textures on the surface of the metal to create a rich appearance with an abundance of charm. This finish sits well in characterful, rustic homes, but also works as a contemporary alternative in more modern settings.
Note - Do not use chemicals or cleaning products as this may affect the finish. Regular oiling of all moving parts using is beneficial to the longevity of your products. This process is also highly recommended during initial installation. An oily cloth can also be used to wipe over the product from time to time to aid protection against exterior or environmental elements.
Black - For any minor scratches that may occur with general wear and tear of your product, there is a durable ‘Black Touch Up Paint’ available – please contact us.
Supplied with a handmade stud and matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
