This Round Bathroom Thumbturn is available in two brass finishes, Polished Brass or Aged Brass. It is a simple and classic design so will compliment many types of properties, period styles and contemporary homes alike. The thumbturn is designed to be used with either a Tubular Deadbolt or a Bathroom Sashlock. The turn part locates inside the bathroom or WC and the emergency release is situated on the outside of the door, this provides a safety mechanism in case a person gets stuck or falls unwell and is unable to get out by themselves. This is particularly useful in homes with young children.

Polished Brass - made from solid, unlacquered brass and have soft, golden hues which offer a depth of reflection. This works wonderfully in period dwellings but can also be used to bring a classic twist to contemporary properties. If left untouched, this finish will oxidise over time and naturally age to create a historically beautiful look. To restore these products to their former glory, simply polish using a dry cloth and some Brasso.

Aged Brass – this finish is intentionally tarnished using an accelerated ageing process that causes a dark patina to gather around the edges and recesses of the design. This rich colour offers a beautiful contrast against the repolished surface areas, offering an abundance of charm and character perfect for any period dwelling. If the finish becomes too dark over time you can restore these products to their former glory, simply polish using a dry cloth and some Brasso.

Note - An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the product from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements. For persistent marks the use of a good quality metal polish can be used. Oiling moving parts during installation and periodically afterwards will help to aid protection against exterior and environmental elements.

Our Round Bathroom Thumbturn is supplied with a 5mm spindle and matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
