This heavy Chrome Oval Mortice or Rim Knob Set is a classic elegant design. They are designed for use with either mortice or rim locks and latches. The spindle supplied will accommodate a door, or door and rim lock thickness of up to 50mm max. For thicker doors an extra long spindle (metric) is available to purchase.
Although more commonly found in Victorian/Edwardian period properties, because of their simple and classic shape they sit very nicely in both period and contemporary properties alike.
Polished Chrome - made from a base of solid brass coated with a durable chrome plating to give an exceedingly high-sheen finish. Favoured for its bright, bold appearance, Polished Chrome is well suited to contemporary designs and offers a smooth, mirror finish when polished. This works best if a cool, clean look is desired.
Note – Do not use chemicals or cleaning products as it may affect the plated finish. An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the product from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements. For persistent marks the use of a good quality metal polish for silver finishes can used. Oiling moving parts during installation and periodically afterwards will help to aid protection against exterior and environmental elements.
The door knobs are Unsprung, so we recommend that you use Heavy Duty / Heavy Sprung lock or latch. So that you don't catch you hand on the door frame we also recommend that you use a lock or latch which is at least 100mm, to give you a backset of 75mm or more.
Sold as a Pair - Supplied with matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
