These Hand Forged Pewter Peardrop Stays are a very simple design, but the unique strike marks from the anvil give it a beautiful tactile feel. This finer detailing is not achievable by mass production casting. They look very stylish against both natural or painted wood. The stay is supplied with two pins for use with standard casement windows. If you have flush casement windows you will need to order the Cranked Stay Pins, which are available separately.
Pewter - forged from a durable base of steel and boast a rich, luxurious appearance. Manufacturing techniques create contrasting textures on the surface of the metal to create a rich appearance with an abundance of charm. This finish sits well in characterful, rustic homes, but also works as a contemporary alternative in more modern settings.
Note - Do not use chemicals or cleaning products as this may affect the finish. Regular oiling of all moving parts using is beneficial to the longevity of your products. This process is also highly recommended during initial installation. An oily cloth can also be used to wipe over the product from time to time to aid protection against exterior or environmental elements.
Supplied with matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.
